From the Southside to Salvation: My Story
I’m a Southside Oxnard native, born and raised in the heart of the 805. My early days were filled with football cleats and skateboards—dreaming of going pro while carving up the streets at 10 years old. I became a standout on the field at Hueneme High, and later moved up to South Seattle, where I attended Rainier Beach High. But with the transition came turbulence.
The gritty streets of downtown Seattle pulled me into a darker lifestyle—tied up in gang activity, street fights, and constant run-ins with the law. Eventually, it caught up to me. I found myself locked up and deep in the system, far from who I once aspired to be.
But it was in that prison cell that everything changed. I met Jesus.
He saved me. He pulled me out of darkness and gave me a second chance I didn’t deserve. That encounter wasn’t just emotional—it was transformational. I walked out of those walls with a new mission: to live for Him, to build something greater than myself, and to help others know that redemption is real.
This isn’t just my past—it’s my testimony. I’m proof that no matter how far you’ve fallen, God can raise you up.
